    Description

    Black amethyst glass elephant ashtray trinket dish or ring holder, made in the 1920s.  Based on my research, this piece was made by L. E. Smith at the Greenburg factory in the 1920s. When you shine a flashlight through the base, the light is purple.
    The piece does not have any chips or cracks. I do see some scrapes, light scratches and wear on the ashtray and the underside due to age and use. I showed all of this in the pictures.
    The ashtray measures about 3 inches tall and approximately 6 inches across.
